COACH & MENTOR
TRAINING
Beat the Streets Bay Area launched its Coach and Mentor Training on August 23, 2025, bringing together more than 35 coaches and mentors for the inaugural event and laying the foundation for a growing coaching community rooted in mentorship, positivity, and impact.
Our Coach and Mentor Training brings together coaches and mentors from across the Bay Area to strengthen the way we support young athletes. With a mentor-first approach to coaching, sessions help coaches develop positive coaching styles and create supportive environments where student-athletes can grow both on and off the mat.
In addition to technical wrestling instruction, sessions focus on youth development, mental health awareness, sports nutrition, communication, and building strong team cultures. Coaches also gain access to resources that strengthen their programs, including eligibility to apply for Beat the Streets Bay Area’s Empowerment Grant.
By investing in coaches and mentors through these trainings, Beat the Streets Bay Area is building a stronger coaching community and ensuring that young athletes have mentors who foster confidence, leadership, and long-term growth.
